Tidal Basin Grant Management, Subrecipient Oversight

Tidal Basin’s resiliency programs and clients include:

New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) – Retrofits Supported NYCHA in submitting proposals and retrofitting community centers with mitigation measures such as dry floodproofing, generator connections, and more following damage from Hurricane Sandy. Red Cross – Community Programming Tidal Basin’s team includes members with robust experience assisting community centers in meeting the requirements to become Red Cross Shelters, points of distribution (PODs), or other “whole of community” approaches to disaster response. Workforce Development Programming Supported New York City and Hendry County, Florida, in the administration and oversight of successful grant- funded workforce development programs designed to increase social resilience in the community. Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) – Technical Assistance Supported the Florida DEO in providing local communities with technical assistance for grant application development. This included LMI mapping, census tract analysis, Hazard Mitigation Plan review, and overall project design. West Virginia Mitigation Action Plan Partnered with the state of West Virginia to develop a plan for a $179 million CDBG-Mitigation Grant. We provided program design, application criteria development, program implementation tools, guidelines, public hearing and stakeholder engagement, as well as technical assistance to the state. California Action Plan Supported the state of California in designing $1 billion+ of CDBG-DR grant funded program, providing needs assessments and stakeholder engagement activities throughout the state.
